Overview

A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. An opportunity has come up for a capable HCPC registrant to join the Practice Learning Support Unit as a multi professional facilitator for the following post. The role is permanent and part time, supporting and working with pre-registration and Apprentice learners, liaising with the wider workforce and collaborating with educational organisations across the country.

Responsibilities
  • Support and facilitate learners across self and multi-professional contexts.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Learning Support Unit (PLSU) team, Lead, learning and education colleagues, and partner placement providers across all five sites.
  • Be clinically visible and ensure processes are followed as per standards for Education and Safe Learning Charter (SLEC).
  • Coach and support learners to achieve HCPC/College competencies, while upholding UHDB ethos and values (Presence, Respecting, Innovation, Development & Education).
  • Work independently and with wider teams in Learning & Development, UHDB, and educational leads.
  • Work extensively with digital technology and data collection (basic skills required; system training provided).
Qualifications
  • HCPC registration (or eligible) with knowledge and understanding of educational standards and SLEC.
  • Valid, up-to-date educational training qualification appropriate for HCPC registration is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting students in clinical practice and empowering students to lead and learn.
  • Ability to work across all divisions and five sites, and willingness to work multi-professionally when required.
  • Evidence of working at degree level or equivalent is preferable.
