Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with epoxy and/or polyurethane (preferred, but full training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
  • Good organisation, planning, and time management skills.

Job description

We are working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business in Aberdeen who specialise in producing high-quality, bespoke subsea cable and connector assemblies. They are seeking a Moulding Technician to join their production team. This is a full time back shift role.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for preparing, mixing, and pouring polyurethane and epoxy compounds to precise technical specifications. You’ll also play an important part in ensuring health and safety standards are maintained, interpreting technical drawings, and supporting continuous improvement across the team.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Preparing, mixing and pouring polyurethane and epoxy compounds in line with specifications.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to manufacture components accurately.
  • Handling and storing chemicals safely, following company and HSE procedures.
  • Deflashing moulds and labelling assemblies in line with requirements.
  • Maintaining equipment, tools, and the cleanliness of the moulding area.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Contributing to staff training and continuous improvement initiatives.
