A regional ambulance service in Manchester is seeking a Motor Vehicle Technician for Fleet Operations. The role involves servicing and maintaining various Trust vehicles, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric models. Candidates should have a recognized apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, NVQ or C&G level 3 qualifications, and a full UK driving licence with category C1 entitlement. Hours: 37.5 per week average
Shift allowance: approximately 12.5% uplift on basic salary
Basic Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum (AFC Band 5)
The role of NWAS Vehicle Technician is to ensure all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA’s exacting standards. The post incorporates the skilled service and repair of specialist ambulance equipment.

The NWAS fleet consists of over 1,185 vehicles. The Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services, non-emergency patient transport, and the NHS 111 service.
