What you’ll do
- As the most senior motion designer at Moneybox, you’ll set the bar for what good looks like and design assets that are beautifully crafted but commercially effective – adverts that stand out, animations that engage our users and content that inspires action.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers and cross‑functional stakeholders (UI, Content, Product) to oversee end‑to‑end delivery of advertisements, content and other motion assets, ensuring deep team involvement throughout the project lifecycle with excellent stakeholder and project management.
- As a leader in the Brand and Creative Team, inspire your reports, the wider Brand and Creative team and the business with a passion for motion and high standards.
- Manage a small team of motion designers and freelancers, taking responsibility for output and career development while allocating resources effectively to balance high‑priority business needs.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of all motion assets (performance advertising, social media, product demos, explainer videos, CRM, Digital OOH), ensuring strategic alignment with design and copy and creative excellence.
- Concept Development: Join regular pitch sessions, bringing dynamic concepts, storyboard ideas and industry trends to the table in response to briefs, leading creative brainstorming sessions and taking the leading role on motion‑led campaigns and executions.
- Act as the guardian of the brand in motion, maintaining and evolving Motion Principles and guidelines and ensuring consistent behavioural characteristics across every touchpoint, while supporting the Head of Brand and Creative as a primary guardian of the brand.
- Oversee the organisation of motion assets and establish robust workflows (server structure, rendering pipelines, template creation), implementing relevant tools (AI, automation) to maximise speed, quality and output.
- Work with stakeholders to track video and motion performance against KPIs (VTR, CTR) and use insights to iterate, test and optimise creative solutions for maximum commercial impact.
- Champion the power of motion, influencing and inspiring designers across Moneybox with polished, accessible, “magical” brand experiences that distinguish us in the FinTech space.
Who you are
- Experience: Have min. 7 years of experience in Motion Design, capable of working both strategically and hands‑on.
- Portfolio: Possess a showreel of beautifully crafted motion work spanning 2D animation, kinetic typography, video editing and social advertising (3D experience is a bonus).
- Technical Mastery: Demonstrate mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with tools like Rive, Lottie or Cinema 4D.
- Conceptual Skills: Possess strong storytelling skills, demonstrating a holistic view of the creative response that considers rhythm, sound design, copy and visual design.
- Leadership: Bring 2+ years of management experience, mentoring motion designers, conducting code/project reviews and clarifying briefs to set the team up for success.
- Strategic Balance: Offer strong project management skills, balancing high‑end creativity with commercial pragmatism and render time realities.
- Communication: Communicate clearly, articulating motion rationale effectively to build relationships across the business.
- Agility: Thrive in a fast‑paced environment, using lightweight processes and quick iteration to make a significant impact.

Working Policy
Hybrid policy: 2 days in London office and 3 days from home. Remote candidates must be based within the UK.
