Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our team in the Guilford GU6 Area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with power and hand tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. You will be the main tester, so experience is crucial.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:30, every other Saturday morning.

Salary: 39,000 plus bonus giving an OTE in excess of 40,000.

Benefits: 21 days personal holiday plus all bank holidays.

Duties
  • Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Identify and diagnose vehicle faults, providing accurate reports on findings.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to perform necessary repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding test results and any required repairs.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and testing procedures to ensure compliance.
Experience
  • Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for diagnosing vehicle issues accurately.
  • Experience using power tools and hand tools in a workshop environment.
  • Previous experience as an MOT Tester with a live MOT certificate.
