You will be working at GSK's Montrose manufacturing facility where you’ll be learning how to maintain and improve our pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities. We manufacture and supply reliable, high‑quality medicines and vaccines to meet patients' needs and drive our performance. Our network of 37 manufacturing sites delivered 1.7 billion packs of medicines and 409 million vaccine doses in 2024. Technology is transforming how we manufacture medicines and vaccines, enabling us to increase the speed, quality and scale of product supply.

Education required
  • Must have/be predicted to achieve a minimum of five Scottish National 5s at grade A‑C (or five Standard grades at grades 1‑3) (or equivalent)
  • Must include Maths at a B or above, a Science subject and English at C or above
Language requirement

Written and spoken fluency in English.

Other requirements
  • If offered a position the candidate must be willing to enroll and meet entry requirements.
  • This role is primarily site‑based. Must be able to commute to the Montrose site and Dundee and Angus College.

Expected start date: July 2026

Duration: 4 years

  • Learn how to maintain equipment and carry out routine maintenance

  • Recommend and action improvements
  • Help install and test new equipment
  • Learn business skills with other apprentices
  • Complete community projects as part of a team
  • Work alongside highly trained and highly motivated people
  • Be trained on how to maintain the plant on our 47‑acre site
  • Attend college one day a week to obtain the relevant qualifications for your apprenticeship
