Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeks Mobile Vehicle Technicians across East England locations. You’ll work 40 hours per week on a pre-booked schedule, with core hours 8:30 to 17:00 and one in four Saturdays, earning a base salary around £40,178 with potential to £52,000 OTE.

You’ll diagnose and service vehicles on site and at members’ premises using advanced mobile equipment, perform in-depth repairs, and provide trusted advice.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
