Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs across your local area, performing routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs using mobile equipment and RAC diagnostics, with strong emphasis on quality and customer service.

This structured, non-emergency role offers 40 hours per week (Mon–Sat), 8:30am–5pm with overtime options, a base salary of £40,170 and potential to earn up to £52,000 OTE.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Tech/M

Full UK driving licence (<6 points)

Education
