Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will be out on the road, covering a defined local area, performing planned servicing, diagnostics and repairs with pre-booked schedules and all required tools provided.

This role offers a base salary of £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, 40 hours per week, and occasional Saturdays. You’ll work with modern diagnostics and equipment, and benefit from overtime options and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
