Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division to deliver planned, on-site repairs to members on pre-booked schedules across the Norwich cluster and surrounding areas.

You will work a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000. OT and bonus opportunities add further earning potential in a supportive, structured environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work through a scheduled list of pre-booked jobs, with time, tools and support.
