Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the East of England. You will work from a pre-booked schedule, performing routine servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile gear, and in-depth repairs at members' homes or workplaces.

Expect no emergencies, predictable hours and thorough support to deliver high-quality workmanship. Benefits include a market-competitive base salary of around £40k, potential to reach £52k with overtime and bonuses, a full-time 40-hour week,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
