Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for our SMR division. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs at members’ driveways and workplaces, performing routine servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs to RAC standards.

Expect a 40-hour week with core hours and a 1-in-4 Saturday schedule, plus a base salary of £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000. A structured benefits package and training support are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years in the field.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs you’d normally do in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
