Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division by adding Mobile Vehicle Technicians who work on pre-booked jobs across the Liverpool cluster and surrounding areas. You will service, diagnose, and repair vehicles on-site at members’ homes or workplaces, delivering high-quality, planned maintenance with safety at the forefront.

You’ll operate from a fully equipped RAC van, adhering to a clear schedule and RAC standards. This role offers defined hours, challenging technical work, and realistic opportunities for

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Execute in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
