Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform pre‑booked servicing, diagnostics, and in‑depth repairs on members' vehicles across Liverpool and surrounding areas, using a fully equipped RAC van and a structured schedule.

The role offers a 40-hour week with some Saturday work, enhanced overtime opportunities, and a range of benefits from day one. Progression in EV/diagnostic skills is encouraged within a supportive national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• Complete in‑depth repairs you’d normally do in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
