Job summary

Join RAC’s SMR Division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician. You’ll work on a planned, pre-booked schedule with a fully equipped RAC van, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in‑depth repairs at members’ locations—no emergency callouts.

You’ll operate within the Liverpool cluster and follow a structured workflow for quality workmanship. You’ll enjoy a 40-hour week with core hours and 1 in 4 Saturdays, plus opt-in guaranteed overtime and bonus opportunities to boost earnings toward £52,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing on customer vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
