Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division, offering a fully mobile, pre-booked schedule for servicing and repairs. You will operate in the Liverpool cluster, working on planned appointments with a clear digital schedule and no emergency callouts.

Expect detailed diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and on-site safety checks, with support and parts ordering integrated into the workflow. You’ll join a national, trusted organisation that values independence, reliability, and customer confidence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Perform vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
