Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the SMR division in the Liverpool area. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs with a full RAC van, diagnostic tools, and a structured schedule, avoiding emergency callouts.

You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs, while advising members on findings. The role offers a 40-hour week, overtime options, and a clear path for progression within the RAC.

Qualifications

• Either NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing

• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
