Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will work on pre‑booked jobs, not emergency callouts, with a fully equipped RAC van and a structured daily schedule across Liverpool cluster areas.

Expect diagnostic work, planned servicing and on‑site repairs, all delivered with RAC standards and member safety in mind. From day one you’ll have a clear plan, with reliable tools, a fuel card, and uniform.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
