Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. The role focuses on planned, pre-booked work delivered at members' driveways or car parks, with a fully equipped RAC van and scheduled routes across the Liverpool cluster.

You will perform routine servicing, run diagnostics, complete in-depth repairs, and provide member guidance. A UK driving licence and NVQ 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance are required, with 2+ years in the field and 5+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on planned appointments.
• Carry out diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Conduct in-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Perform vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
