Job summary

RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, delivering pre-booked, in‑driveway servicing and diagnostics across Liverpool cluster areas. You’ll operate on a planned schedule with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics, avoiding emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts.

The role emphasizes independence, quality repairs, and clear schedules, with a strong focus on customer service and safety checks to RAC standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in Vehicle Technician/Mechanic roles is preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs usually performed in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
