Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division, a new era of mobile repair. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs with a structured schedule, not emergency callouts.

You’ll cover Liverpool cluster areas, use advanced diagnostics, perform routine servicing and in-depth repairs on customers’ vehicles, and provide informed advice. Benefits include a fully equipped RAC van, 40-hour week, overtime options, holiday entitlement, pension and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing on consumer vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs performed on-site.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
