Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division in the Liverpool area. The role focuses on planned, pre‑booked work delivered at members’ driveways or workplaces, not emergency callouts.

You’ll work a 40‑hour week with a 8:30am–5:00pm core window and one in four Saturdays. You’ll receive a competitive base salary (£40,170) with OTE up to £52,000, overtime options, a van, fuel card and a spectrum of benefits designed to support long‑term career growth within a national

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also accepted.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Conduct in‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Perform vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
