Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join its SMR division, delivering planned, structured repairs directly to members. Role focuses on pre-booked jobs with no emergency callouts, using mobile diagnostics and on-site servicing to ensure quality work.

You will operate from a fully equipped RAC van, with a base salary of £40,170 and potential to reach up to £52,000 with overtime and bonuses. A 40-hour week and occasional Saturdays support a stable career path.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
