Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will work on a planned schedule, servicing and diagnosing vehicles with mobile equipment, performing repairs on site and guiding members on service recommendations.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised qualification in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence with clean record where required.
• Experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Complete in‑depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
