Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will work on a pre-booked schedule, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs using mobile equipment, with a focus on quality and safety.

Expect a base salary with overtime and bonus opportunities, 40-hour weeks, and no emergency callouts. You’ll operate across Cheltenham and surrounding areas, delivering high‑quality service to members in their driveways or workplaces.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs as needed.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Deliver pre-booked, planned work with a clear schedule.
