Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the UK. You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs on pre-booked jobs, away from emergencies, with the tools and support needed to deliver quality work.

You’ll operate in the Liverpool cluster, covering Liverpool and nearby towns, on a 40-hour week with one in four Saturdays. The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
