Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division. You will perform planned, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics for members at their location, using advanced mobile equipment. Expect a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, and a 40-hour week with some Saturdays.

You’ll work in the Liverpool cluster across local areas. The role offers a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and extensive tools; overtime and bonuses are available to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (as an alternative path).

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs performed with precision and safety.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Operate with a fully equipped RAC van and diagnostic tools.
