Job summary

RAC Motoring Services in Oxford is seeking Mobile Mechanics for our SMR team. You’ll perform planned servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces, with a clearly booked schedule and no emergency callouts.

You’ll join a structured development pathway, earn a competitive base salary (£40,170) with on-target earnings up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime, and enjoy 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
