Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division. You’ll work on a planned schedule, visiting members’ driveways and car parks to service, diagnose with mobile equipment, and perform in-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.

This role offers a competitive base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, a 40-hour week, overtime options after month one, and comprehensive benefits including a pension, life cover, and generous holiday allowance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education
