Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Oxford area. You will handle pre-booked, on-site servicing and diagnostics, with a fully equipped RAC van and toolset.

Expect a 40- hour week, with some Saturdays, and a clear, driver-led schedule designed for quality on-site repairs. You’ll work in a growing SMR team delivering planned work, diagnostics and repairs for members at their driveways or workplaces, with ongoing development and career progression in a national

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK Driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
