Job summary

RAC is seeking skilled Mobile Mechanics to join the SMR division. You will work on pre-booked jobs at members' driveways or workplaces, performing routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs with planned schedules and no emergency callouts.

You'll receive a competitive base salary of £40,170 with potential earnings up to £52,000 through overtime and bonuses, a 40-hour week, overtime options after probation, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension and life cover.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
