Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR team with a mobile mechanic role focused on planned, pre-booked servicing and repairs. You’ll work on customer driveways or car parks, performing diagnostics, routine servicing and in-depth repairs with the support of RAC’s advanced tools.

You’ll be part of a structured development pathway, earning through base salary and potential bonuses, with overtime options and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience OR 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• Perform in-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
• Prepare and manage pre-booked jobs with required time and tools
