Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll perform planned servicing and diagnostics with mobile equipment, working a fixed 40-hour week across Stevenage and nearby areas, with 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Expect structured, pre-booked jobs rather than emergency callouts. You’ll drive a RAC van, use advanced diagnostics, and provide member advice with a focus on safe, high‑quality repairs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs.
