Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division in the Stevenage cluster. You will operate on a pre-booked schedule, servicing and repairing vehicles at members' locations with a focus on quality and safety.

You will use advanced diagnostics and mobile equipment, receiving full RAC support and a clearly planned workload with opportunities for overtime and career development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
