Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in Bath and surrounding areas. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs on customers' vehicles, operating from a fully equipped RAC van.

Working 40 hours weekly with some Saturdays, you’ll follow a structured schedule and pre-booked appointments, delivering high-quality work and member support on the road.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence (less than 6 points).

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles to RAC standards.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that would normally be completed in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
