Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeks a Mobile Vehicle Technician to perform planned servicing and diagnostics on members' vehicles at driveways or workplaces. You will work from a fully equipped RAC van with a clear digital schedule and pre-booked jobs.

The role offers a fixed 40-hour week, with core hours and occasional Saturdays, plus opportunities to increase earnings through bonuses and overtime; full training and progression are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you would normally do in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
