Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics with mobile gear, and in‑depth repairs at customers’ driveways or car parks. You’ll advise members and conduct safety checks to RAC standards, delivering quality service without emergency callouts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
