Job summary

RAC is expanding its Mobile Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. You’ll perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs on-site at members’ locations, with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced tools.

Expect a structured workload, planned appointments, and clear schedules in a role away from emergency callouts. You’ll work a 40-hour week (Mon–Sat options) with overtime and bonuses to grow earnings, plus benefits like pension, life cover, and savings schemes after

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience OR 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic AND a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs
• Member advice based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks and RAC standards

2+ years experience
