Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division. You will work on a pre-booked schedule across the Newbury cluster, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at members' homes or workplaces.

You’ll use mobile equipment and work within RAC standards, enjoying independence, a fully equipped RAC van, and structured support. The role offers stable 40-hour weeks and growth within a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs that would usually be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and repair recommendations.
• Conform to RAC safety standards during checks.
