Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division. This role focuses on planned, customer-site servicing and diagnostics with a fully equipped RAC van.

You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs away from the workshop environment, providing clear member guidance and recommendations. From day one you’ll work to a managed schedule, with a fixed 40-hour week and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd typically do in a workshop
• Member advisory and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
