Job summary

RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule of planned diagnostic and repair work, not emergencies, with a fully equipped RAC van and digital scheduling system.

Based in the Newbury cluster area, you’ll service members at driveways and car parks, following RAC standards and providing clear advice and recommendations after inspections.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
