Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for Mobile Vehicle Technicians within its SMR division. You will carry out pre-booked servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment, delivering quality repairs away from workshops. You’ll receive a fully equipped RAC van and be part of a structured, schedule-driven team.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with some Saturdays and opportunities for overtime/bonuses, supported by extensive training and benefits as part of a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance/repair.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
