Job summary

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division with a mobile technician role covering Liverpool and surrounding areas. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with the tools and support you need to deliver high-quality work.

You’ll operate a fully equipped RAC van, enjoy a competitive base salary with overtime and bonus opportunities, and benefit from a structured, non-emergency workflow designed for consistency

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
