Job summary

The RAC are recruiting for Mobile Vehicle Technicians in the SMR division. You will operate on a pre-booked schedule, delivering planned servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with advanced mobile equipment. You’ll provide member guidance and perform RAC-standard vehicle safety checks.

Work involves driving to local areas within the Liverpool cluster, with a 40-hour week, flexible hours, and bite-size overtime opportunities designed to boost earnings while maintaining a structured workflow.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
