Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You will undertake pre-booked service and maintenance, delivering planned repairs to members at their home or workplace.

You’ll rely on advanced diagnostics and a fully equipped RAC van, working to a clear digital schedule with team support. From day one, you’ll train in EV and diagnostic skills, enjoy a 40-hour week with Monday–Saturday availability, and benefit from a generous package including holiday, pension, and wellbeing

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent plus 2+ years' experience
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
• Eligible to work in the UK and driving to sites across the UK

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment
• Complete in‑depth repairs usually done in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
