Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You will perform planned servicing and diagnostics on client vehicles, delivering high-quality repairs away from the workshop. You will work on a fixed digital schedule with pre-booked jobs and support from RAC’s mobile service platform.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and advanced diagnostic tools from day one, with overtime options and opportunities to grow skills, including EV and diagnostic capabilities.

Qualifications

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
