Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll work on a fully planned schedule of pre-booked jobs with no emergency callouts, using advanced mobile diagnostics to deliver on-site servicing and repairs.

You’ll be paid a market base with overtime opportunities, a 40-hour week, and potential growth into EV and diagnostic skills, plus generous holiday, pension and life assurance benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
