Job description

Mobile Engineer - Electrical or Mechanical

Location: Covering sites in Crawley, Worthing, Winnersh

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Delivering routine PPM’s to varying M&E services such as water hygiene monitoring, emergency lighting testing amongst various other duties. There will also be ongoing minor repairs to the commercial properties within the portfolio.
  • Completing the planned servicing & reactive reports, ensuring that significant events or activities are noted and effectively communicated to JLL FM team.
  • Actively participate and complete Health and Safety compliance activities, such as Hazard/Near Miss Reporting and regular attendance/completion of scheduled Toolbox Talks.
  • Liaise with the supply chain, when ordering M&E components for remedial/corrective works.
  • Take ownership of areas (including all plant rooms) under JLL control, ensuring they are brought up to and maintained to the required show site standards.
  • Efficient and Effective completion of eLog books Work Orders that have been allocated, ensuring that Work Orders have been acknowledged and completed within SLA.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous experience within the commercial sector would be preferred but not essential.
  • City & Guilds / NVQ L3 / Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • A background knowledge of electrical & mechanical systems & safety is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
  • Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
  • Have good IT and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
