Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs, supporting members to get back on the road quickly and safely. You’ll work across a defined local area, starting and finishing at home, with demand-led shifts and optional overtime.

The role offers a strong base salary with attractive overtime and development opportunities, including IMI accreditation and structured training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
