Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work hands-on, independently, and respond quickly to members in need, delivering practical solutions to get them back on the road.

Starting with a structured development pathway, you’ll gain hands-on training, IMI accreditation opportunities, and clear progression while enjoying a strong base salary and achievable overtime with rewards

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• or: 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and: A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Use latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely
